Preserve Lewisboro was created by local residents concerned about the future of the Reynolds property at 831 Route 35 in Cross River. The Reynolds property is an approximately 15-acre parcel that may be proposed for subdivision and residential development. Because of its size, location, natural features, and importance to the surrounding community, we believe any proposal for this property should receive careful, transparent public review.
Why This Site Exists
This website was created to help residents stay up to date on land development in Lewisboro:
Stay informed about public filings, meetings, and deadlines
Review documents received from the Town or submitted as part of any future application
Understand the issues raised by potential development of the property
Coordinate a respectful, fact-based community response
Contact the appropriate town officials at the appropriate time
Participate meaningfully in the public review process
Our Approach
Our goal is to be organized, respectful, factual, and transparent.
We are not opposed to responsible land use in general. We are concerned that inappropriate development could permanently affect the character of Lewisboro, strain local infrastructure, increase traffic and construction impacts, disturb environmentally sensitive land, and set a precedent for other development projects.
We believe the Town should carefully review the zoning, environmental constraints, traffic conditions, infrastructure impacts, and neighborhood character before allowing any project to proceed.

This site is maintained by local residents who are concerned about the future of Lewisboro’s open spaces, neighborhoods, and natural character.
We welcome participation from residents who want to help monitor public meetings, review documents, share information, contact officials, or support a coordinated community response.
Please include your name, email address, phone number, and street or neighborhood so we can keep you informed about meetings, filings, deadlines, and ways to help.
